Please read through the pre-appointment information below to ensure the best experience during and after your tattoo.
Shower before you come and wear clean and comfortable clothing with easy access to the area that will be tattooed.
Please don’t shave your skin before you come in, as it can cause micro cuts that can be irritated and affect the healing process. If you would like to remove hair please use clippers to trim instead.
It’s best to be well rested, have some food and be hydrated beforehand. Feel free to bring a snack and drink with you, especially if the session will be long- it can make a big difference in your overall well-being.
Please bring your ID as well, it is a legal requirement that we check your age.
Please don’t drink alcohol, use drugs or take ibuprofen (if medically possible) in the 12-24 hours running up to our appointment, as these substances can also affect your body’s reaction to the tattooing and healing processes, including excess bleeding, more pain and the ink not settling into your skin properly.
Similarly, skin that has sunburn cannot be tattooed on, so stay out of the sun and use high SPF for the days running up to your appointment.
I do not use numbing creams for clients and ask that if you want to use one to let me know ahead of time, as this can impact the tattooing process and can cause severe allergic reactions.
Most of my clients have said that I have a gentle hand, and I will take breaks as often as you need. I do have a balm that I use during the tattoo that has a natural numbing effect which can help reduce sensitivity.
The process can be painful but the pain is temporary!
Let me know if you have any questions or accessibility needs.
Looking forward to working together!
